THE CAPITOL OF NOWHERE

Starting a music venue is no easy feat. But it's even harder in a dying, Central Pennsylvania mining town. When a group of teenagers did just that in Shamokin, PA with The Capitol Venue, the result was something unexpectedly awe-inspiring, all-together life changing, and spectacularly Rock 'N Roll.
Like it's subject, the making of this documentary was an unlikely, underdog story.
With no budget, I made this film completely on my own--writing, producing, filming, editing, crowdfunding, negotiating music right, even narrating. But the lack of funding meant I couldn't afford the music rights to distribute the film on any digital services. So, for now at least, it's available on YouTube, which is enough :)
